The wood I use is cleared from local lots and made into boards with a portable bandsaw mill 
(A green operation as they say now). 

My hand hewed teak is salvaged from a Gazebo that was at Aloha Tower 6 years ago. 

I do a lot of work with Monkey pod because it is plentiful and has nice grain figuration and color like Koa. I also use Koa, white ash, Brazillian rosewood, reclaimed teak, mango, ironwood, and others.
